And also many of the Lamanites are converted. An account of their conversion. An account of the righteousness of the Lamanites, and the wickedness and abominations of the Nephites, according to the record of Helaman and his sons, even down to the coming of Christ, which is called the book of Helaman.1

Change of heroes and of narration style

it is interesting to see what happens from a narrative perspective after we are done with the stories of Captain Moroni. Historically, it was neither a conclusion nor even a lessening of wars among the people, but now we are only telling the story from a cursory perspective. From this we can draw both a general conclusion about the effect of heroes upon a story, causing the story to deepen and follow individual tactics, and also we can observe the effects of a personal hero upon the storyteller (Mormon). The overall effect is that the story becomes more cursory and summary-based, which is probably good and correct as we readers may not benefit from more detailed war chapters. But don’t let the change of scale throw you off the truth of the situation.
