This is a pattern for how God works with us.
February 5–11: “Free to Choose Liberty and Eternal Life, through the Great Mediator.” 2 Nephi 1–2 Why is agency so important to Heavenly Father, even though some people use it in hurtful ways? No doubt Agency is crucial to God; this is a crucial part of Latter-day Saint doctrine. But why? This question gave me pause. But only for a moment. Agency is valued by God because God aims to help His children BECOME godlike, which is only possible through agency.

Is national righteousness a predictor of national extermination?1 Helaman 4:26 For behold, they saw that the strength of the Lamanites was as great as their strength, even man for man. And thus had they fallen into this great transgression; yea, thus had they become weak, because of their transgression, in the space of not many years.2 Forsaking the strength of covenants and righteous living. Does societal righteousness or its lack provide such notable differences as life-and-death of the entire nation?
What Does Strength have to do with Humility? Helaman 3:35 Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God.1 Come Follow Me from 2020 asks us to ponder “stronger and stronger in their humility.
